A bit about the beer

Ingredients - Barley Malt, Water, Live Yeast.

I got this one in what they call bottle conditioned. What does it mean? Well, it contains live yeast, which supposedly smooths and enhances the depth of flavour of the beer over time. So the longer it stays in the bottle, the closer to that taste of a Pedigree in the Pub you will get.

Since it contains the live yeast, take care not to pour the entire bottle into a glass as per normal, but leave the yeast sediment in the bottle.

All in all, I wasn't too impressed with this one. For me it fell a little flat on flavour and taste. It does have a nice toffee color and looks a little hazy. When poured it does not have much of a head though. For flavour, you get a biscuity taste and can get some hints of fruitiness, but just a little. If you enjoy English Ales and Bitters then you might enjoy this one, brewed in the oldest brewery in town.

All in all, a pretty drinkable beer, but it lacks character and I did not get all the promised spice or fruit.
