For a short background on the brewery, have a look at a previous post on their Saffron IPA offering here.
The official description as per their website for this beer is as follows - "Brewed with coriander and bitter orange peel, this crisp, effervescent ale is inspired by the epic Civil War battles that took place in Franklin, TN where it’s brewed. It features a pale golden hue with the body and esters of a classic wit. Drink this beer fresh".
For me, poured from a bottle it has a beautiful golden colour, slightly hazy with a very thin head that disappears quickly. Smells of coriander, lemon and banana comes through and is followed by notes of pepper, banana and a little yeast in the taste. It is a mix between Saison and Wit beer, and a nice blend at that. Although it is not the most complex beer I have had, the tastes work very well together resulting in a very nice and easy drinking beer.
